The contact stated that while attempting to accelerate, the vehicle jerked and hesitated. The failure had become more constant while accelerating. The contact stated that the vehicle was revving however, the accelerator pedal was not depressed. The vehicle failed to accelerate above 15 MPH on two occasions. The vehicle was taken to Auto Zone to be diagnosed. The mechanic retrieved an unknown sensor failure code. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
