The car will brake hard to stop vehicle if there is an object behind it. In this case, the car was braking when there was no object behind it. This happen continously while I was trying to back out of a parking space. I could only drive forward. Finally, after a few attempts to back out of the parking space, I was able to drive in reverse.  After I was able to drive forward,  I tested the the car drove to a location where there wasn't anything behind me. I put the car in reverse and it  did it again automatically hard braked and stopped the vehicle. I waited then tried it again and I didn't have the problem anymore. I took the car to the Cadillac Dealer. I was told there have been others who have had this same issue.  Furthermore, I was told they can't fix it.  Perhaps the feature can be turned off I was told. I don't see where it can be turned off. The feature is a good safety feature if works when it should. Meaning, when there is truly an object behind the car.  That's my complaint   This was a scary episode.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2024","productMake":"CADILLAC","productModel":"LYRIQ","manufacturer":"General Motors, LLC"}]}]}
