Specifically, the horizontal trim/molding located under the windows has defective adhesive, causing these pieces to detach from the vehicle. I am deeply concerned that if these pieces fall off while I am driving, especially on the highway, they could potentially strike another vehicle, leading to an accident.  I have brought this issue to the attention of Kia, and they are aware of the problem. In fact, the necessary parts are currently on back order, which indicates that Kia recognizes the widespread nature of the defect. However, despite this acknowledgment, no interim solution has been provided. At this point, I have had to resort to using tape, at my own expense, to temporarily secure the trim pieces and prevent them from falling off.  This situation is not only an inconvenience but also poses a serious safety risk to myself and others on the road. My question is: who would bear the liability if a piece were to detach and cause damage or injury to another driver? I believe that Kia, knowing about this defect, should be taking proactive measures to prevent such incidents from occurring.  I urge the NHTSA to investigate this issue, as it needs to be escalated due to the potential danger it presents to public safety.  Thank you for your attention to this matter.
