The contact stated that the vehicle intermittently failed to exceed 30 MPH while driving and depressing the accelerator pedal all the way to the floorboard. The message that the throttle and the ignition were inoperable was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the fuel pump and the fuel pump sensor had failed. The dealer related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V586000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance.
