The fuel/engine vapor ventilation system in the driver-side engine bay is leaking raw fuel fumes into the fresh air intake. Yes, the vehicle and all components are available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Inhaling continuous raw gasoline fumes while driving and idling causes physical distress, including severe headaches, burning eyes, and dizziness, creating a driving hazard. The unaddressed raw fuel leak under the hood also poses an elevated fire safety risk. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center?Pinnacle Nissan previously confirmed a fuel leak and replaced the fuel tank and lock ring assembly. ABC Nissan inspected the vehicle for over a week, confirmed testing was conducted, but reported they were unable to pinpoint the engine bay leak source. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Inspected by Pinnacle Nissan and ABC Nissan service departments under active Nissan Consumer Affairs Case #56847990. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning lamps or dashboard messages appeared.
