Apparently this is a known defect but I was never notified. Im currently in NC, 3 hours from my home in [XXX] where the heat index is 110 degrees. Now i have to drive home to get service without AC. I reached out to the dealer four times today including the service manager, service coordinator and Anthony the GM but no one has returned my call. I called Genesis customer service and their response was “sorry no appointments until late next week and we have no loaners until late September”. Clearly, no one at Genesis at the dealer level or corporate cares enough to help me solve this problem so I am forced to find an independent mechanic who can work on my vehicle and rent my own car until it’s repaired. This is completely unacceptable especially for a luxury vehicle. First, not being notified of a problem Genesis has known about for a long time so i could repair it before it’s become a calamity (where i am now). Second, no one cares enough to help me solve their defective parts problem! I expect Genesis to pay for both the repairs and my rental plus any additional out of pocket expenses.
