Used 2021 Model Y Performance bought around December 2023 with under 10k miles showed BMS_a079 HV battery failure mid-trip home from Texas at about 26k miles after overnight charging to 80% in Flagstaff. Tesla would only tow to the nearest service center in Phoenix, not back to California; Phoenix service said the battery would be replaced but parts would take a couple of days, forcing a flight back to pick up the car.
