SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20170105-A57E2-1620605. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Lenovo C540 10110 (Lenovo All In One PC). Incident: I have a Lenovo All in One PC At 9.30 on 2nd January 2017. My Wife and Daughter shouted to me that they could smell burning and see smoke coming from our study. Went I went to the room it was full of smoke. I unplugged all electrical items. I could see smoke coming from the top of the Lenovo PC I could smell burning plastic from the top I called Lenovo technical support as I read on Google that there had been a recall on some product power supplies I was told that this model was not subject to a recall And as it was out of warranty they couldn't help I said that I didn't think that was good enough as there could have been a serious fire If this had happened during the night there could have been a serious fire and possible injuries We were just about to go shopping when the incident occurred. If we had left a few minutes earlier it would have been a different situation I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told that there was nothing they could do I asked the operator to tell the Supervisor that I was prepared to talk to the CPSC After a few minutes waiting the call was disconnected
