Catastrophic failure during first storm outage

Internal generator components (unspecified)

2 months

Source-linkedVerify source — Reddit post

About two months after professional installation of a Generac 18kW whole-house standby by an official distributor, the first multi-day storm outage caused catastrophic failure. Owner reports three of four neighborhood Generacs failed within two days; their unit needed extensive parts replacement rather than full replacement.
