An older gifted Traeger that had worked for years began showing a controller temperature of 400°F while set to 225°F and while an internal probe and infrared thermometer read about 170°F during a brisket cook. Owner cleaned ash, reseated and cleaned the RTD probe, and was preparing to replace the RTD and/or controller after the mismatch persisted.
