SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20170804-DBB2B-2147398405. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Frigidaire F F E F 3 0 5 0 L 5 J (Kitchen Stove / oven Frigidaire Series # VF0365312 Model # F F E F 3050L 5 J Used in home Black and stainless finish). Incident: After making dinner on Wednesday, August 2 we took our food out of her oven and put it on her counter when all of a sudden the electrical noise came from the back where the clock is on the device started to smoke and make a fire burning the bath tiles and the plastic colander that was above it on the wall hanging will extinguish the fire and unplug the device and the circuit breaker tripped the fuse and turned it off for almost about a half a month or so we know it is that when we were using the oven the faint smell of burning plastic but didn't put anything together until the oven actually caught fire. I contacted the manufacture and he basically told me they could not help me at this time because the product was not recalled. I asked them how many peoples houses and had to burn or someone get hurt before they issued a recall on this product. They wanted me to pay for a technician to come out and look at the product at which I said no to because at that point it was gonna cost me a couple hundred dollars and I could use that towards a new oven. The item was purchased in 2012 so it's not even that old
