Incident: On Saturday, December 16th 2017 our brand new 26-cu ft Side-by-Side Refrigerator Single Ice Maker (Easycare) Item #: 488403 Model #: FFHS2611PF purchased on 05/07/16 capacitor spontaneously caught fire. Was told there was nothing able to be done to resolve our issue and treated as if it were no big deal. Our house almost burned down, we could have lost our lives. Now we're out of a $1000 brand new refrigerator. The only option they offered would be to schedule a repair man to come check for $50 cash on sight. 6 months after our 1 year warentee, our faulty fridge catches fire, almost burns our house down and kills us all... and we have to pay to have a repair man come see what needs to be replaced (which I will have to pay for) upon further researched I learned this is a fairly common problem with this exact model of refrigerator, yet they are still being manufactured and sold. There needs to be a recall on this product and a class action lawsuit to prevent this from happening to other customers and to reimburse others who have suffered damages from this product with no resolution in the past.
