SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20250822-6301F-2147328441. Severity: No Incident, No Injury. Product: Keurig K Mini (Keurig K-Mini single serve coffee maker, army green, serial number 21B.121N.MX898FD). Incident: We purchased a Keurig coffeemaker at Walmart in Murray, KY on July 4, 2025, and registered it online on the day of purchase. Less than a month later the machine wouldn't brew and began to dump boiling hot water out the bottom and onto our counters while still plugged in, which is both a burn and a shock hazard making the product unsafe. Luckily we were able to unplug the machine before anyone was injured. Since the machine was unusable we decided to file for the one year warranty we had signed up for when registering the product. I called the company and was told by the agent that I could use a duplicate receipt from the Murray Walmart as proof of purchase, so I drove the 60 mile round trip to Walmart to generate the receipt. We submitted the documentation as required and were rejected via a form email - probably no live person even reviewed the claim. My guess is the company is implementing cost cutting measures by refusing to honor warranty even when they've sold a dangerous product. They should be focusing on getting these dangerous items off the market instead of telling consumers they're stuck with something that might shock or injure someone. There's a post on the Keurig [REDACTED] saying they had the same problem with their machine, so I wonder if this company sold a large number of these unsafe products.
