SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20240729-CEFB3-2147337635. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: LG LSEL6333XE. Source model text: LSEL6333. Incident: I purchased a LG electric stove in OCTOBER2022. The knobs are on the front of the stove and they move and the burners come on with touching them. I reported this back in the summer last year and they called me back but nothing ever happened. Several times I have almost set my clothing on fire just by reaching for something or just by walking by. I went on the internet and saw they being having this problem since 2010. I dont see how this problem could continue this long. I looked at new stoves over the weekend and the new lg's have knobs that you have to push in and then turn, a safety feature. I am afraid my grandchildren will be harmed so I am going to unplug it and plug it back in when I cook.
