SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20250826-3B38C-2147328329. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: LG LSGL6335F.BRSELGA (LG Range - Propane Cooktop and Oven Stainless steel). Incident: Product Information Product: LG Gas Range / Oven Brand/Manufacturer: LG Electronics USA, Inc. Retailer: Lowes Purchase Date: January 1, 2025 Delivery/Installation Date: January 15, 2025 Serial Number: 407KMYH15010 Incident Description I purchased an LG gas range from Lowes on January 1, 2025. It was delivered and professionally installed on January 15, 2025. Since the first use, there has been a persistent strong gas odor whenever the oven is in use. This odor does not occur when using the cooktop burners. I reported the issue to LG several times beginning in January 2025. Initially, I was told this was normal for a new appliance. In June 2025, LG advised me to run the self-cleaning cycle with windows open to burn off the smell. This did not resolve the problem. In July 2025, LG acknowledged the problem and said they would assign a warranty service provider. Despite repeated escalations, no service has been provided. Their system has produced false service confirmations (e.g., listing my own email address as the providers contact, showing appointments that never occurred, and marking service completed when no technician ever visited). To date, no repair or inspection has been completed. The oven continues to emit a strong gas odor every time it is used. Safety Concern The smell is consistent with natural gas, raising concerns about leakage or incomplete combustion. LG has not inspected or repaired the unit despite acknowledging the warranty. I am concerned about the risk of fire, explosion, or carbon monoxide exposure. This is not an isolated problem with customer service t
