SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260512-C14A8-2147319444. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Allpowers R4000 (Allpowers R4000 mobile solar station. It is a compact mobile power station that can be recharged several ways, including solar. It can be taken and used for off grid living, generator backup for house during power outages or primitive camping/boondocking.). Incident: We bought an Allpowers R4000 mobile solar power station on Sept. 16, 2025. We put it in our motorhome to use for recharging our boat through a low voltage trickle charger. On May 7, 2026, we used the R4000 to charge our boat batteries as we did on several occassions and had no problems. Then, my husband unplugged the boat charger from the R4000 unit and plugged the R4000 unit into a standard US 110v outlet to recharge the R4000 itself. Within a minute of plugging the unit in, it started to catch fire, smoked, and quit working. No injuries just nasty smoke. We contacted Walmart and Allpowers to tell them of this hazard and request a refund. The unit states it has a 5 year warranty and is advertised as such but Allpowers customer service says only 6 months. They continue to email and ask for the same info and pictures and videos. I sent the initial video of when it happened on May 7. Obviously that wasn't good enough. We then decided to plug the R4000 back in on May 12 to get more video of the unit not working seeing as the first video was ignored. When we did this, the inside of the unit caught fire again and we hurried to unplug it. This is a dangerous item to have in any type of living quarters. We realized a lot of people use this item inside their homes and hope this will help save someone's life. It could have been worse and caught fire while we were sleeping. I don't know if we got a dud or what, but, I want others to know about the safety hazard of this item. If we weren't present, it would have burned our motorhome down. Ruined our fishing trip on top of it. I have v
