Reddit r/Ring: "A warning on Ring extended warranty". I’ve been on the Ring Standard Plan since 2019. Yesterday, I reached out to support because the button on my Doorbell Pro is cracked, something that’s supposed to be covered under warranty. On June 11th my payment failed (expired card). Ring emailed me on June 12th asking me to update my payment method, which I did the same day. Ring informed me yesterday that the failed payment on June 11th voided my extended warranty on all my devices because I “lost continuous coverage,” even though I updated the card information the day they emailed me asking to update the card information (June 12th). I’ll be going to arbitration against Ring over this, but I wanted to give everyone a heads-up: check your payment methods regularly. Ring seems ready to use any excuse to void your warranty.
