Owner complaint summary

My complaint is that the car will not move. I get in the car to drive and the car displays the following message, “ Electrical System Error. Stop vehicle in a safe place.” This has happened on numerous occasions(at least 7) since I received the car on February 10, 2021. Mind you I work from home so I don’t drive it but once a week. I am quite fortunate that thus far it has only happened in my garage. I took the car to the local Porsche dealership for a software update but that was not the solution. It occurred again after the update. I thought maybe it had something to do with the car charger because it usually occurred a couple days after charging the car but I haven’t charged it in over 2 weeks.

This is an owner complaint filed with NHTSA (ODI #11419735). It is not automatically an official recall, investigation outcome, or manufacturer admission unless the complaint text itself describes one.
