Owner complaint summary

There have been four total episodes when the car would not accelerate when the acceleration pedal was pressed. The last time it happened (late October 2022) the acceleration was very sluggish and I barely made it home. This happened on a residential street, and continued for 10+ minutes. If this power loss occurred on a highway, it could have lead to a very dangerous situation. There were no errors/warnings on dash. I brought the car for service to address this issue on Nov 2nd to Porsche Irvine. They told me that they identified a problem and had to replace "rear control unit" but since it's not available, they cannot provide ETA and car is still in service for 30 days now.

This is an owner complaint filed with NHTSA (ODI #11495919). It is not automatically an official recall, investigation outcome, or manufacturer admission unless the complaint text itself describes one.
