Owner complaint summary

The contact owns a 2019 Dodge Durango. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, he accidentally touched the gear shifter which shifted the vehicle into neutral(N). Once the contact noticed the failure, he shifted the vehicle back into drive(D) without applying the brake pedal. The contact then received a notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V426000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulics) which he linked to the failure. The contact called the dealer and made an appointment; however, the contact was informed upon arrival that the notification was sent by accident and that the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
