Owner complaint summary

Failure of the Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) rack on 2019 Jaguar Pace causing an immediate safety hazard when driven in the rain. Factory EPAS motor housings suffer from inherent design vulnerability. Power steering to the vehicle was locked up with dashboard warning. Jaguar Monroeville has confirmed need for new steering rack, tie rods, etc costing $8900 including labor. There were no warnings prior to failure as the issue arose when driving in the rain. There is an active community of over 1800 JLR drivers called JLR Power Steering Alliance Group on Facebook fighting this issue with proposed class action lawsuits. Jaguar is inconsistently applying some goodwill assistance. Attempts for assistance were denied. Please call Jaguar CRC [XXX] and Jaguar Monroeville service manager [XXX].
