Owner complaint summary

The 48-Volt Lithium-Ion eTorque Hybrid Battery Pack (Mopar Power Pack Unit/PPU) on my 2019 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited (~55K miles) failed. The failed component may be available on video by the dealership. Check engine light first appeared early XXX. Earliest dealership appointment was late August 2026. At that visit, dealer diagnosed DTCs P0A94 (recurring, including P0A94-03) and U0412, and performed a software update flashing the BPCM (Battery Pack Control Module) firmware from 05057870AN to 05057870AV per a Technical Service Bulletin. This was covered under warranty at no charge; vehicle was returned to me. Days later, the check engine light returned along with a battery warning light and additional indicators, including ABS among others I could not fully identify. The vehicle then lost power and stopped running while in the roadway, disabled in an active lane of travel — a safety hazard to myself and surrounding traffic. Vehicle was towed to the dealership XXX. On this second visit, the dealership attributed the failure to moisture exposure and corrosion at the PPU connector/harness, denied warranty coverage, and charged me $4,561.90. I received the repaired vehicle XXX. I opened a case with Stellantis Customer Care (Case #XXX) with case manager [XXX] to request a technical review of the failure and the warranty denial. [XXX] stated he contacted the dealership five times seeking information or resolution and received no response. He offered rental car reimbursement up to $50/day during the repair. Dealership diagnosed and repaired the vehicle on both occasions. No known inspection by manufacturer, police, or insurance beyond the review requested under Stellantis case #XXX. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
