Owner complaint summary

2020 Land Rover Range Rover Sport VIN: [XXX] Repair Order/Invoice No.: XXX NHTSA Recall No.: 26V248 Land Rover Recall No.: D126/H575 I received a Land Rover safety-recall notification in June 2026 concerning the DC/DC converter on my vehicle. The recall is identified by NHTSA as 26V248 and by Land Rover as D126/H575. The subsequent failure of my vehicle involved the exact component identified in the recall. On or about XXX, my vehicle experienced a charging-system fault and would not start. I brought the vehicle to Jaguar Land Rover Van Nuys/[XXX]. The dealer's own repair documentation states: "DC / DC converter internal failure." The dealer further documented that the charging system was producing approximately 11 volts. The dealer then: Removed/replaced the DC/DC converter. My vehicle subsequently experienced the exact condition described in the recall, and the dealer diagnosed the exact recalled component as having an internal failure. I was charged $2522.59 for the repairs of the DC/DC converter and battery replacement due to low voltage. NHTSA states that recall repairs are to be performed free of charge at the manufacturer's dealership. I was informed that I needed a second letter of notification for reimbursement.
