Owner complaint summary

My 2025 Cadillac LYRIQ has approximately 12,000 miles. On multiple occasions, the vehicle has unexpectedly applied the brakes and come to a sudden, forceful stop even though there was no visible vehicle, pedestrian, or obstacle requiring emergency braking. During the most recent incident, the abrupt stop caused my body to move forcefully and I developed neck pain. This creates a serious risk of injury, loss of control, or being struck from behind. The vehicle has also displayed “AWD Temporarily Unavailable,” ABS/brake warnings, vibration while braking, steering vibration, and shaking during acceleration. These symptoms began before the latest sudden-braking incident and have continued after a previous software update. I attempted to obtain diagnosis and repair through Pepe Cadillac and North Bay Cadillac. I was told at different times that the vehicle could not be serviced promptly, that there was no technician or loaner available, or that the vehicle did not have applicable warranty coverage because it was previously a fleet vehicle or was not purchased from that Cadillac dealership. GM/Cadillac Customer Care has also been contacted repeatedly, but the safety problem remains unresolved and no complete diagnosis or permanent repair has been provided. The vehicle remains available for inspection. I request that NHTSA associate this complaint with Engineering Analysis EA26006 concerning the Gen 2 eBoost system/Electronic Brake Control Module and review the vehicle’s event data, stored diagnostic codes, service history, braking system, Automatic Emergency Braking system, ABS, AWD system, and EBCM.
