Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20110425-EB528-2147479804. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: HP HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC. The product number is G4X63UA#A. Source model text: dv6500. Incident: My HP Pavilion over heats to a point of being dangerous. There is no way it can be placed on your lap while using it. When I remove the battery and just use the ac cord, it does not get nearly as hot. The product sn matches the recall, but the battery serial number does not. It is now out of warrenty and HP will not discuss it unless I pay for additional support, even though I complained once before and they said that I should monitor the recall and see if my battery gets added.
