Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20110920-D2C0A-2147475138. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire Electric Range Model FFEF3054TS. Source model text: GLEFS79DSL. Incident: Purchased my range on 12-17-2007, and picked up in Jan. 2008 from Sears. Prior to 11-24-2008 the stove (eyes) started staying on at the highest temperature even when turned down. My husband called Frigidaire on this date and was told to turn the main breaker off and then back on. Upon doing this the stove worked correctly for several months, then started acting up again. I spoke with Frigidaire and Sears several times after this and was told "Sorry it is out of warrenty and you can pay to have fixed". On 10-16-2009 I reached E. Cooko unit 94.22 at Frigidaire and was told that Ace Appliance and Repair would fix at no charge, after waiting a week, I never heard back and contacted Ace and was told they were never contacted by Frigidaire. So I continued to call Frigidaire and was told nothing could be done, my last conversation was with [REDACTED] on 10-23-09. My stove eyes continue to stay on high after using the stove to this day. I am able to turn the eye off and listen for a click and then it will start working correctly for a short time. My stove is a Frigidaire Gallery Series Model # GLEFS79DSL Seriel VF74969984. It was not on the recall list but is and has been posing the same fire hazard as the ones that were recalled. I do not understand how it could not have been covered under warrenty when Frigudaire was contacted prior to 1 year. Also do not understand why my Model was not recalled when it posed the same fire hazard as the ones recalled and this was told to Sears and
