Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20111019-487CD-2147474187. Matched catalog product: Sunbeam SQH310. Incident: Sunbeam Quartz Heater Model SQH310 Purchased 1 year ago at WalMart in Cleveland Ohio. Heater smelled burnt , kicked circuit breaker off and quit working. I opened the back and found 2 burned wires that had melted and burned in half. The cord was fine the internal wires were smaller gauge than the heater cord. Could have started a fire but I had it hooked up to a ground fault circuit that tripped.
