Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20120204-02EB6-2147470601. Severity: Injury, Emergency Department Treatment Received. Matched catalog product: Weber Spirit. Source model text: 4430301 Spirit SP-320 Grill. Incident: I attached a new propane tank to our outdoor grill and turned on the burners, which lit as they were supposed to. However I heard a hissing noise from under the grill so turned off the burners and opened the doors of the cabinet below the grill. A fireball erupted from under the grill and lit my hair on fire, burning my right hand and face. I rolled on the grass to extinguish the fire, luckily wearing nonflammable clothes, and only suffered first degree burns and loss of some hair.
