Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20120208-86575-2147470429. Severity: Injury, First Aid Received by Non-Medical Professional. Product: Fujitsu N-6010 (Fujitsu N-6010 Lifebook laptop). Incident: I have a Fujitsu N-Series Lifebook Laptop that I have never been able to use as a laptop. Even after a short amount of time, the battery gets very hot, to a point of burning. My 6 year old daughter does her homework on the same laptop and she had attempted to pull the laptop closer to her and had to grip the front lower bottom of it to do so. That's exactly where the battery is at. She received some minor burns on her fingertips, but nothing major. I believe this is a pretty big concern due to people that like to use a laptop on their laps. I would just like the company to be aware of the situation and maybe be able to resolve it. The laptop is an older model, but it has had this issue since day 1. I didn't feel that it was anything major until my daughter received the burns.
