Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20120709-B7596-2147465854. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Kenmore 795.77563600. Incident: I have a Kenmore Elite model # 795.77566300 SN# 802KR03493. The interior lights stayed on when we were away from home. When we returned I smelled hot plastic. When I looked at the light cover it was melted. After one week the lights come on only intermittently. I am afraid they will stay on again and maybe cause a complete meltdown and fire. This refridgerator is a $2000 +/- unit and should not have these issues. It is supposed to be top-of -the-line, not to mention the obvious safety issue.
