Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20120825-3B7A2-2147464403. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire FEC30S6ABF. Incident: The front right hand burner of our Frigidaire cooktop model FEC30S6ABF turned itself on after the knob was turned to the off position. The unit had to be turned off at the breaker to get it to turn off. I contacted Frigidaire and they informed me that my model was not included in the recall of 200,000 of their units in 2009 and unless I had an extended warranty they would not do anything.
