Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20120905-B5E24-2147464023. Matched catalog product: Samsung 1.7 cu ft OTR Microwave. Source model text: Samsung 1000W 1.6 Cu. Ft. OTR Microwave SMH9187ST. Incident: My wife went outside last Friday and when she came back into the house, our Samsung over-the-stove microwave oven had turned itself on. I thought she must be mistaken until I saw it happen this evening when we were both in the kitchen. Fortunately for us, we were home both times this happened and in both cases there wasn't anything in the microwave. Otherwise, it's possible our house could have burned down.
