Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20121013-3DFE7-2147462876. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Kenmore 790.96112409. Incident: I have a Kenmore electric slide in range, glass top, Model # 790.96112409. For a few weeks the left front burner would only work on high and would not turn off immediately when knob turned to off position. It would take several times of turning the knob on and back off before burner would turn off. Today, I have noticed several times the same burner would turn on and off spontaneously while the stove was not in use. Ultimately, we have turned the breaker off to the stove for fear of fire.
