Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20130424-0729B-2147456680. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: LG WT5101HV. Source model text: LGWT5101HV. Incident: My LGWT5101HV washing machine blew up. I had put an average size load in, and was sitting in a room about 20 feet away. I heard a loud noise that sounded like the wall had collapsed. I went to the laundry room to see what had happened, and the top of the washing machine had completely detached itself from the rest of the washer and it was embedded in my wall. There was water all over the floor. It was such a violent event, it had thrown itself into the side of my dryer, denting it enough so the cylinder inside now rubs against the side of the dryer frame when it was tested. After it hit the dryer, it bounced the other way and embedded itself into the drywall of my laundry room, creating a hole 4 feet tall by 1 foot wide hole in the wall.
