Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20130503-C13A1-2147456435. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Sony NP-FX110. Source model text: DVP-FX930. Incident: Battery case on my Sony DVD player has cracked open due to swelling of the Li-Ion battery. The unit was not on charge and had not been used for several weeks. The unit was without problem after its last charge and use. No injuries occurred due to this swelling, but has rendered the unit unusable. I am concerned of what could have happened if this had occurred when the unit was charging.
