SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20130530-29E0D-2147455661. Matched catalog product: Sears Sears Kenmore Elite Washer Model #11031633611. Source model text: 79079363405. Incident: I came home 2 days ago to find an explosion had occured in my kitchen involving my glass oven door. Sears Kenmore Elite model # 79079363405. I was stunned as to what had occurred. Had my home been broken into and vandalized? Was the person still in my home? After surveying the home I found that no other damage or loss had occurred and that my oven door had just exploded for no reason. It was not being used and no one was home, thankfully. There was 100's of pieces of glass up to 6 feet from the oven itself. The potential for bodily harm to ourselves or animals could have been devastating!
