Incident: June 28, and again on July 11, 2013 about 9pm smoke and fire alarm went off through out my home. Home was filled with acrdi electrical type smoke. Found all the electronics inside the air handler were toast, control boards, regulators, capacitors, and the fan motor too. All the wires were burnt off the controls and connections...there was nothing left inside but ashes. We were luck was contained inside the unit. Simpson's the Tampa Fl company who installed new for Ryland Homes 8/2005, said that never should have happened under any circumstances. In fact their tech said he never saw one do that before ever. Lloyds Air and Heating Tampa area, were sent by my home warranty company...the replaced the components...not sure they good job. 10 days later it caught on fire again.
