Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20131205-8AD02-2147449306. Severity: Unspecified. Matched catalog product: Shark S3501. Source model text: S3501N. Incident: My father in law plugged in my shark steam mop and was waiting for it to warm up. It wasn't making the usual steam noises and the blue light was on indicating that it was working. He went to pump the handle and a loud explosion of steam erupted from the purple casing along all the seams that holds the water. If any of us had been any closer I am sure that we would have sustained steam burns.
