SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20140620-A49BF-2147443519. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: LG WT5101HV. Incident: The entire top blew off my washer with 3 minutes to go! The drum began shaking violently, and within 2-3 seconds of the violence, before I could stop the washer, the lid blew off in front of me. The entire washer moved to the side, and the lid, which appears very heavy, blew high enough to hit the blinds near the washer. I have taken several photos of this. I did not know of the recall until I investigated right after this happened
