Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20140630-EBDB7-2147443258. Severity: Unspecified. Matched catalog product: Master Forge GD4825. Incident: The Master Forge grill model number GD4825 was recalled in November 2012. I received no alert or mailing from the company stating there was an issue. On the evening of June 26, 2014, I turned on the grill to warm up. After 10-15 minutes, I went back to the grill, noticed that it was already up to 500 degrees but the flames were no longer visible. The gas hose, the subject of the recall, had melted on the drip tray. Surprisingly, it did not catch fire, but the hose and drip tray are ruined.
