Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20140805-75D4F-2147442276. Severity: Unspecified. Matched catalog product: Kidde Smoke Alarm model P4010DCS-W and p4010DCSCO-W. Source model text: model 1275. Incident: Smoke alarm sounded at 2:00 AM. Found no fire but did determine which of the 6 networked smoke detectors sounded alarm. Found a burned circuit board inside the detector created smoke that sounded alarm. Seems strange that smoke detector is a fire hazard but I believe this to be true.
