Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20141022-EC747-2147439828. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Uppababy 2017 Uppababy Cruz. Model Number 0417-CRZ-US. Source model text: Vista. Incident: I was pushing my son in the Uppababy Vista stroller, about to head out the door, when the crossbar holding the back wheels together spontaneously snapped off and the stroller began to collapse with my son inside. He was not hurt, but could have been if we weren't able to get him out quickly enough. The company said that because the two year warrantee is over, I would have to purchase a new frame. I posted about this on social media, and MANY people came forward to tell me that this happened to their stroller as well.
