Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20141113-2DF40-2147438913. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Samsung Samsung Galaxy S10FE 5G tablet and tablet cover. Source model text: SMH1816S. Incident: I was making microwaveable popcorn in my Samsung over-the-range microwave (Model SMH1816S) when the door gasket melted and scorched. The extent of the damage was such that melted material clung to the inside of the microwave when I opened the door at the end of the cooking cycle. At the time, I was using the "popcorn" program button, and the cooking cycle was going normally. (My food did not burn at all.) There had been no other indication of microwave malfunction.
