Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20151008-D6D22-2147427702. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Kenmore 790.92303010. Source model text: 790.94332700. Incident: Purchased an electric range, floor model from Sears in Seabrook NH about 5 years ago. The smooth top range doesn't match the recall model and serial numbers listed here http://www.cpsc.gov/en/recalls/2009/frigidaire-and-kenmore-smoothtop-electric-ranges-recalled-due-to-fire-hazard/ but it is having the same problems. The burners will turn up to high on their own and recently will not turn off. We have had to unplug it from the wall. I called Kenmore and was basically told if the serial number and model numbers don't match I will have to pay for the repair. My model number is: 790.94332700 and serial number is: VF73553723, which are slightly different than what was listed in this recall. I have the original receipt as well.
