Source model text: Mainstays Touch Control Mini Dome Lamp (see previous) 19.255. Incident: "Mainstays Touch Control Mini Dome Lamp" Model No. per Walmart web site: 19.2556 purchased at Walmart (Walmart No. per Walmart web site 1737395) in 2013 has unusual oblong bulb which exploded with a very loud report and spewed small pieces of glass over a wide area. It was on my headboard for my use as a reading lamp. I had just turned it on a looked away, before I lay down under the lamp. I use a wheelchair and had just transferred to the bed. My companion heard the explosion across the house (2500' +/-) and in the laundry room and she came to see what happened. We're still picking up glass from around the large bedroom and the adjoining bathroom.
