Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20151221-A5328-2147425608. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: LG DLG2051W. Incident: While operating my LG gas dryer (Model DLG2051W S/N 909KWSB00694) I started to smell gas. I determined that it was coming from the front bottom right area of the unit. After researching online, this is the location of the gas ignition valve. The valve seems to open and not igniting during the drying process. This is a major safety hazard as gas could build up and ignite during the next heating cycle. While searching online it seems many others have the same issue with this dryer however a recall has not been issued. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further details regarding this safety concern.
