Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20160106-5F701-2147425001. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Can-Am Defender 6x6 Limited HD10. Source model text: Commander. Incident: I have a 2013 can am commander that had the steering completely fail while I was driving it, the steering column where it fits into the steering rack is totally stripped out and the steering wheel spins freely with no movement at the steering rack. This seems like a problem that was in a recall for 2011 and 2012 models, but is apparently not covered with my 2013 model. This repair is estimated to be over $650.
