Incident narrative
SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20160118-0F53D-2147424571. Severity: Unspecified. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire FFIF 3054 T89. Source model text: FGGF3054MF. Incident: I purchased a Frigidaire Gallery Gas Stove FGGF3054MF in mid 2015. at least 4 times in the pas six months, I have found an oven knob slightly turned on, releasing gas into the kitchen. it is too easy to accidentally bump one of these knobs and it will accidentally turn on (other people on amazon product posts have same complaint.) I called Frigidaire to see if they had any way of making the knobs less sensitive / harder to turn on, and they just told me to be careful. these knobs can turn on, releasing gas, BEFORE the knob gets to the ignition click. you don't even know the knob is on until you either start smelling the gas, or happen to notice a leak is occurring. (Note - this is a vacation home, and only occupied part time) Second Note - besides smelling gas and the possibility of fire, there were no "injuries" to be entered in the next section.
