Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20160405-16EF9-2147420412. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Hamilton Beach Griddle Model# 38518R, Power Adapter Model# ZL203. Source model text: Model 14210R. Incident: We have a Hamilton Beach Model 14210R clothes iron. We have used it for a while. My wife went to use it and got a burned plastic smell. I opened it up to find one of the crimp connectors has overheated and burned through its insulation, and began burning through the plastic casing. I have pictures that will show this. Obviously this is a serious issue, as it can cause both fire and/or electrical shock.
