Source model text: xe40m12ec55uo. Incident: I had A Rheem platnuim 40 gallon electric hot water heater installed in may of 2014. On April29 2016 I got a call from my tenant that the fire dept responded to smoke in the basement it turned out to be a faulty digital control display panel. that had caught fire. It was purchased from home depot.I see thyat this is not the only one to do so.
